I don't talk much about Lucy's ears.  She was born with Microtia and Atresia.  I knew when we started her adoption that I would do whatever necessary so my baby could hear and have ears. 

Well, here we are.

Starting the process and I couldn't be more torn.  My precious baby's ears are virtually non existent.  And yet, it breaks my heart to change her.  To alter the way God made her.  I feel it's best on so many levels to have the surgery while she is still young...hopefully she won't have any memory of it.

I can't imagine her going through such major surgery.  I know I'm speaking from a momma's heart.  I want her to grow up as normal as possible....but is that for me or her? 

I ask for your prayers as we begin this journey.....that God will show up big time.  I certainly need His guidance.

Keegan picked herself a few "flowers" the other day.....and proceeded with an art project!

Prayers...please

I just found out that one of my cousins has cancer.  Don't know a whole lot about it....but she has a long road ahead of her.  She is a strong Christian woman and knows that God is in control and that He has the power to heal her. 

Please join me in praying for healing for Kathy.  God is healer!

make your own pizza

We had a big time on Sunday and let the kids make their own pizzas!

Even Lucy got to make her own!  She chose all the topping options!

The kids had a great time making AND eating their pizzas!  (Keegan making a fruit salad...)

It's so much fun...now that the big kids are bigger...they can really help out in the kitchen!  Keegan is going to be a great little chef!  She loves to do anything in the kitchen! 

So thankful that the kids think it's fun to "help"...I know the day is coming that it won't be "fun" anymore!  But until then.....I'm gonna enjoy it!
