quick update

Lucy's surgeon isn't 100% convinced that the implant needs to come out yet...giving it until the weekend...please pray!  I know God can heal that ear totally!!!

For a couple of weeks we knew that Lucy's left ear was in trouble again.  It was showing signs of implant exposure as it has in the past.  We have prayed and prayed for total healing and for a miracle! 

But our plan is not always God's plan.  Sometimes that is the hardest part....to see the big picture.  I have so many questions.  But I know that it's not for me to question.  Again, the hard part.

You can see the precious little exposure coming through. 

Bless her heart.  Needless to say, we are so broken hearted for her. 

The plan as it stands is for them to remove the implant and let her tissue, membrane, skin heal for 6 months or so.  Then they will try the left ear again using a different blood supply.

Dr. Reinisch has been doing this for YEARS and he's never had this happen before.  Leave it to us to be the problem family! 

So please, please keep those prayers coming!  Again, we need each and every one of them!

And while we are there....I'm gonna have them go over that right ear with a fine tooth comb and make sure it's good to go!

4 weeks post-op

I am posting approximately 317 pictures of the ears!  I wanted Lucy's surgeon to be able to see quite a few shots of both ears. 

 

I think her right ear is amazing!  The left ear is doing really well!  I pray, pray, pray that it heals completely!!!  Y'all feel free to say a few extra prayers yourself!  We greatly appreciate every. single. one. of. them!

Daddy's day....

 

The kids made several cards for Dad!  This is the back of the group card....it says "We love you from our fingerprints to Heaven".....and all the kids put their fingerprints on the card!

Keegan made Daddy his favorite breakfast:  pb & j.



We are very blessed with a great Daddy!  The kids certainly love their Daddy!!  We had a great day and tried to spoil Daddy all weekend!
