baby Jesus

The other morning I noticed that the nativity scene was in disarray...

It appeared to me that they were all in a discussion....

Almost looked like they were holding a meeting.

Then I realized that baby Jesus was missing.....

So, I asked Lucy..."Where's baby Jesus?"

She said "sweeping"....and took me over and showed me.

Look closely.....

Oh!  There He is!!!

She put Him in the "bed" of the Little People's house!!!

I suppose she thought He'd be more comfortable!  Bless her heart!

a favorite

I know.  I'm sick.

This is one of my favorite Christmas decorations.  Truly.

It all started with my mom's Snow Village carolers.....

One of them lost their head.  Have no idea what happened to the poor guys head.  So, mom asked Rick to fix him.  Well, days turned to weeks turned to months....and Rick lost the poor man's head.  So, he improvised.  Mom wasn't a big fan.  Me, on the other hand, well, it's one of my favorite Christmas decorations!

Enjoy!!

an email

Just received an email from one of Romy's teachers......

Just wanted to pass this on to you.  Romy is in my room right now for art class.  She is telling many stories about how your family came to be.  She is sharing many wonderful and sweet stories about the family with the other girls at her table.

However, the best line that sums it all up is this:

“We come from all over the world, and it’s really a miracle that we all found each other to make a family”.

Now, that makes a momma proud!  I love the fact that she "get's it"....so thankful!  This momma has a warm and fuzzy heart right now!!!

Yes, really. Chocolate.

I have recently joined in the fun of being a "Chocolatier" for Dove Chocolate Discoveries!  How fun is that!!!

It's not only fun...but it will help us with money for Lucy's ear expenses and remaining adoption debt.  Every dollar counts.

I am blessed to report that with 4 international adoptions in such a short amount of time...we only owe for one adoption!  Praise God!  But I can't tell you how bad I want that booger paid off!

So, if you like chocolate....which basically means...if you breathe....you will LOVE this product!  It's simply amazing!  I've sampled quite a few of the items that Dove offers....and let me tell you...awesomeness!!

Please feel free to peruse my website!  If you are more of a "flipper", I can drop off or mail you a catalog!  You won't be sorry!  Just click HERE to see some of the goodies available for your pleasure!  (don't forget - Christmas is just around the corner!  Also, I will be sharing fun yummy-ness from time to time here on the blog!  I have an amazing recipe to share very soon!)

Thanks again for keeping up with the craziness that is my life!  I wouldn't have it any other way!

FYI - Lucy is doing great....praying that her right ear is out of the woods very soon!  Thanks again for your continued prayers!

a little early

We got in with a special friend a little early this year.  He's a favorite.  He is the real one...and he's a very close and personal friend of the family!

Santa was at a local business this past Saturday so I took the kids to see him.  They all loved it!  (including some of the bigger kids, too)

Enjoy!

Even Nannie, aka my mom, got to sit on Santa's lap!

Santa and ReRe....

We love you Santa!  Thank you for always loving up my kids!  They love that you know SO much about them!  You rock!

Halloween 2013

I'll be honest....Halloween is not one of my favorite holidays.  I mean, it's ok.  Just doesn't really thrill me.  Even as a kid...didn't really care for it that much.  I enjoyed Halloween parties...just not so much the door to door activity.

A friend of mine mentioned how her family celebrated Halloween.  Well, we tried their idea last year and it was a BIG hit so we've decided to continue the tradition again this year!   The kids still dress up and once it's dark outside, we hide candy in the house, turn all the lights out and let the kids "hunt" for candy using flashlights!  It's a scream!

Lucy kept saying she wanted to be a cowboy, so I searched for a cowgirl outfit that didn't cost an arm and a leg.  Um, no success.

However, we did have a cowboy hat.  Turns out that's all she needed!  She was SO excited!

She had been riding around on a plastic golf club....so I asked Keegan to turn it into a horse!

Check it out!!!  Great job Keegan!

I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween!   Much love from the Farley's!
