a square tooth

Keegan has had 2 loose teeth.  Not terribly loose, just loose.  Keegan likes to "work" her teeth out.  She does not let those suckers hang around for long. 

So after a little effort.....

Bingo!

Santa Monica

Today we spent some time in and around Santa Monica!

 

 

At this point in the trip we are very close to the Santa Monica pier!  Can't complain about that!

 



 

The kids don't seem to mind!

Keegan and her Daddy had to work out a little SkeeBall competition and luckily they had SkeeBall games!  Daddy won.  But not by much.

We enjoyed the Bubba Gump restaurant for lunch!

I don't see how people out here get in the water.  Dang, it's cold!

My kiddos had a blast!

How many Farley kids can you get to stand on a big rock?  Four.

We came back to the house and found big 'ole trucks at the house across the street.  Rick meandered over and nosed around and found out they are taping a Microsoft commercial!  Uh, interesting.

I told Rick he needed to ask to be an extra! 

Takes some big trucks to make a commercial....apparently.  It was pretty cool! 

We are now on the countdown to the ear reveal......stay tuned!  Prayers GREATLY appreciated!!!

some American Girl time (Monday)

Once I knew that Mom was going to come out here and join us, I knew she HAD to go to American Girl Cafe for a girlie luncheon!

 

I mean....really.  It was a "must" on the list of things Mom needed to experience in California.  We don't have an American Girl Store near us at home.  Well, not yet....one coming near us later this month!  (Danger....danger....danger)

 

 

 

So the girls have known for quite some time that this was on the agenda.

 

Um, they've been excited.  

 

They brought their AG dolls with them on the trip. 

The girls and their dolls got dressed up!

Keegan brought Shea.  Romy brought Addison.  And Lucy brought Kim.

Nannie (aka Mom) was really wantin' herself a doll!  I truly thought she'd walk out with one....maybe next time!

The menu is quite nice.  When you arrive they bring warm cinnamon rolls and then shortly thereafter this precious tray of pretzel rolls, veggies, cheese/fruit!  Yummy!

This is Romy's lunch!  It's called the Bitty Bites lunch!

Lucy decided to drink her doll's lemonade!  Look how cute this child is!

Oh, what a fun afternoon with just the girls!!!

We had a great day (probably the best one since we've been out here) and the boys enjoyed boy time...they went to see the new Star Trek movie....they say it rocked!  I'll take their word for it.

fun with friends!

Today our precious friend, Francesca, invited us out to her neck of the woods for a pool party! 

What fun!!

We got to meet both of her men! 

Please check out little Ryan!  He is one cutie patootie!

Lucy was giving Ryan a little 'love'....

My gang went to change into their suits so Francesca went ahead and took a very eager Lucy into the pool!  Lucy appeared to have Francesca exactly where she wanted her......wrapped around her finger! 

Ryan was not happy that his momma had another "little one" in her arms.....little fella is a momma's boy!  Love that baby boy!

Lucy got handed off to Daddy.....please check out Romy's face......hehehehe....

I love this woman.  She is amazing!  Such a sweet person, precious friend and an awesome PA!!! (physician's assistant)  Francesca is Dr. Reinisch's PA....she assists in all of Lucy's surgeries....and does a lot of her pre- and post-op care. 

We think she's pretty neat!  We love you Francesca!!!

Everyone moved over into the hot tub......even the kids.  We managed to run off the one poor soul that was trying to actually relax in the hot tub. 

My girls!  Francesca and Grace.....these women rock!  Love them both!!!
